Changes in order of magnitude

While not-sleeping last night I was thinking of all the things we're currently doing that would become moot, or radically less important/daunting if we had a change of scale happen either in terms of what we had to deliver to a client or funding.

  • one is the admin/logistics things currently on my plate - they would need to just "be handled" and "done" no matter how imperfect, in order to let us all focus on delivery.

  • others are more around product design in terms of the burden they place on us internally.

In other words - imagining new problems in a world at a different scale, I felt some clarity around current issues, and have a different sense of priority than I did last week. Actions I'd like to take as a result:

  • get sorted this week with coop membership, my share purchase proposal, financials (2018 tax return etc), insurance, physical space - potentially with help of someone else (indeed, I might advocate for hiring a PT admin assistant...)

  • chat with team about Brave's internal design needs as a priority as we increase sales - primarily designing a system that allows for management of 500-100 installations (for buttons, sensors or BeSafe communities).
